Two parallel sectors: 14 universities (research-focused, yliopisto) and 24 universities of applied sciences (UAS, ammattikorkeakoulu). Bologna-aligned: Bachelor (3yr, 180 ECTS), Master (2yr, 120 ECTS), Doctorate (4yr, 240 ECTS). UAS degrees include mandatory practical training periods.
